FIRE RESEARCH STATION AT BOREHAMWOOD 1935 TO 2001

AFTER 50 YEARS OF INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED RESEARCH INTO THE PROBLEMS OF FIRE, THE FIRE RESEARCH STATION AT BOREHAMWOOD, UK WAS DEMOLISHED IN 2001 TO MAKE WAY FOR THE BUILDING OF HOUSES.

Fire research still continues in the UK at the Fire Risk Sciences division of the Building Research Establishment

The construction of Fire Research Station began in 1935, originally the testing station of the Fire Offices' Committee becoming the Fire Research Station after World War 2.
