“Chaos Dragon and the Light” is the powerful story of Marika Henriques, a Holocaust survivor who was hidden from the Nazis in a Budapest cellar. It recently won the prestigious NAAP Gravida Documentary Award.

If you would like to attend please register below (please let us know the names of any additional attendees in the registration notes.

The Story:
As a young girl, Marika Henriques was hidden from the Nazis in a Budapest cellar. She survived the Second World War only to find herself forced to flee Communist Hungary in her early 20s. Safely in Britain, she trained as a Jungian therapist. But it was the cathartic creation of extraordinary art that helped her to process her childhood trauma over several decades. Now in her 80s, she tells her story for the first time.

The story is told through interview, archive footage and stills, Marika’s fathers beautifully illustrated diary and her own drawings and tapestries. The score is written by Hollywood composer Alex Heffes.
