The book Liberating Belsen Concentration Camp was written by the late Lt-Col Leonard Berney. His son, John Wood, will tell his father’s story: the drama and horror encountered by the British Army, and the heroic efforts by the liberating troops to rescue the thousands of survivors, providing them with food and medical care before their eventual repatriation. -

Professor Rosalie Ferner is an consultant neurologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and is chairperson for the medical advisory board of the national Neuro Foundation. Her talk will encompass the effect on mental health that COVID has brought and is bringing. She will also discuss the work of a neurologist and give us an insight into life at one of the major London hospitals. -
