Introducing Principal Clergy, Cantor Zöe Jacobs
Last October, we began consultations with our community. These were powerful conversations that helped us clarify our values and the role FRS plays in the lives of our members. With this in mind, we then began an extensive recruitment process that generated multiple strong applications from the UK and overseas.
We put several candidates through a rigorous series of interviews and assessments. At the same time, we invited Zöe to present her vision for the future of FRS, recognising that she had already undertaken a 15-year interview!
As we progressed through this process, it became apparent that our existing clergy team was better equipped to understand and meet the needs of FRS than any of the external candidates. Consequently, we are thrilled to announce that we have appointed Cantor Zöe to lead the clergy team as Principal Clergy, and to guide us into the next stage of FRS's journey. Alongside Rabbis Deborah and Howard, we have the basis of a exceptional team upon which we will build in the coming months.
