I began Food Bank Aid in 2020 in my garage with a few cardboard boxes. I had no idea it would lead to a charity now supporting 30 food banks which help 16000 people including 4000+ children every week. In addition we plant the seed of giving charity, working with over 90 schools giving children a gentle insight to food poverty and how they can help.

As a community led charity, we are appealing to your community to help our neighbouring communities.

We all know the familiar words, “ I’m hungry. There’s nothing to eat”.

Imagine, teens with hollow legs who haven’t got enough to eat. Imagine how it feels if your children go to bed hungry. For many, it’s sadly a reality.

We have all seen the deprivation on our TV’s and read the continuous headlines. There is no denying that millions of people are in desperate need. Right here in North London, on our very own doorstep, thousands of people, many of whom are working, are not able to feed their families.

Food bank Aid is a unique charity providing only what food banks need, thus preventing waste and ensuring goods get to where they are needed most.

We supply essential products rarely available at food banks, e.g. cooking oil, spices, incontinence pads, fresh fruit, vegetables and eggs, encouraging home cooking whilst satisfying specific cultural needs and personal hygiene products to maintain dignity.

We know the cost-of-living crisis will continue to exacerbate the extreme challenges families are facing as savings dwindle and food costs are expected to continue to rise. Then, in the blink of an eye, the colder weather will hit and more people will be seeking help.

Let’s ensure all our children can continue to thrive.

With much appreciation from Naomi (Founder and Chair) and the Food Bank Aid family.
