We are offering a support group for FRS families who are hosting Ukrainian refugees - facilitated by therapist Susanna Kester.

The impact of sharing your space with new people and helping, practically and emotionally, those that might be traumatised or struggling cannot be underestimated. Share experiences, thoughts, ideas and feelings with other hosts in this confidential support group.

The group aims to:
* provide a comfortable and confidential environment within which to discuss different hosting situations.
* be a place to meet other hosts and have opportunities to make new links, both for yourself and your guests.
* be a place to be fully heard and gain different ideas or perspectives.
* be somewhere to offload when things feel difficult or overwhelming.
* assist in gaining some knowledge about trauma and secondary trauma and it’s physical and emotional impact.
* provide ideas around how to assist your guests, but also to think about self help and finding emotional space for oneself and family.
* pass on practical questions to the relevant people.

Susanna Kester, a Creative Arts Therapist of 23 yrs, has much experience of facilitating groups and working with vulnerable people of all ages in hospital, community and school settings.
