As Director of Music, I prepare our choirs for the High Holy Days and special services, teach our B’nei Mitzvah students how to leyn (chant from the Torah), and I lead services – of which my favourite is probably our gentle weekday Maariv service.

Cantor Zöe and I work closely together to make sure our music creates ruach (spirit) and is an enjoyable experience for both the singers and the community!

Outside FRS, I work with many other Jewish communities leading or teaching music, and also give private lessons and courses. In between, I wrangle my two small children, who especially enjoy crashing my Zoom meetings to sing their own mash-ups!
