Safeguarding
I first encountered FRS when I attended a friend’s Bat Mitzvah and was really impressed by how friendly and inclusive it was. When I moved back to London from Somerset a year later, I became a member. The first service I went to, I picked up a leaflet asking for volunteers for Council and realised I could usefully offer my experience as a social worker to provide safeguarding advice and guidance. Being a Council member has really helped me to integrate into the community, and I feel very welcomed and at home here.
Outside of FRS, I am the Head of Social Work at AJR. I also practice privately as a hypnotherapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor, specialising in the treatment of anxiety and trauma.
I have two daughters in their early 20s of whom I am immensely proud; and I thoroughly enjoy exploring the UK on the back of my partner’s motorbike.
